Mitvhell Shifflett

What have you been doing since graduation?

Played baseball at UVA, moved to Charlotte for three years for a job with Penske and then took a promotion to come back to Richmond. I have remained active and stay involved with all sports and have been enjoying life in two awesome cities.

What are you doing now?

I own a house over near University of Richmond. I live with my girlfriend and our two dogs. I am manager for Penske (going on 6 years). We do a lot of exercising, outdoor activities, traveling for fun to cool US cities. We really enjoy the beer/food scene that Richmond provides!

Do you have one specific play or game you remember that stands out in your mind? If yes, please tell us what.

Our comeback vs Godwin @ Cosby where I led off the inning with a double and Luke hit the walkoff home run a couple batters later.

What is one of your favorite memories of Cosby Baseball?

How fun my senior year was. We had one of Cosby’s best teams ever with so many fun personalities. Some of my best friends who didn’t play baseball helped maintain the field and and travel with us to big games.

How did Cosby Baseball help shape or prepare you for your future?

Taught me the importance of team work and being a leader. I have to lead people as a manager for my job each day. Also taught me that making positive connections with people around you will lead to better experiences which create priceless memories.
