What have you been doing since graduation?

4 year starter at Virginia Tech as an infielder including being elected Captain senior year. Also pitched in relief all 4 years. Drafted Junior year and again senior year and signed with the St. Louis Cardinals. Went on to play in the Cardinals organization and has been voted an All- Star on 3 different occasions.

What are you doing now?

Currently playing for the St. Louis Cardinals double A affiliate in Springfield, Missouri. Will be getting married this year to a Cosby alum.

Winning the Dominion District tournament in 2007, our inaugural season.

What is one of your favorite memories of Cosby Baseball?

Favorite memories were getting to play middle infield with my brother, Brad for two years and also just playing with some of my best friends, 4 of which will be my groomsmen.

How did Cosby Baseball help shape or prepare you for your future?

Coach Lowery and his staff had their handprints on a lot of the foundation of who I am as a person and player.

Posted some impressive statistics at Cosby High … As a senior, hit .485 with nine home runs, a .939 slugging percentage and 18 walks from the plate, while going 6-1 with a 1.10 ERA and a .189 opponent's batting average from the mound … Was named second-team all-state, first-team all-metro, all-region and all-district … Was the Dominion District player of the year after helping Cosby to the Dominion District title … Hit .500 over the summer for American Legion Post 137, which won the Virginia state championship … As a junior, went 11-1 with a 1.73 ERA on the mound in leading his team to the Dominion District Tournament championship … Also hit .514 with six home runs and 30 RBI to earn the same accolades as his senior season … His combined statistics for his two summer league teams in 2007 included a .470 average, eight home runs and 40 RBI … Hit .355 as a sophomore with three homers and 18 RBI.
