Obituary

 Anthony Joseph "Tony" LaRosa , age 80, of Lynnfield died Monday, May 6 in Boston.

Tony was born in Everett on July 3, 1938 and was the son of the late Joseph A. and Phyllis (Colorusso) LaRosa .

Tony was raised in Everett and was a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1956. He later graduated from Boston College, Class of 1960 where he played right guard for the football team and received his advanced degree in education. He was the Principal of Melrose Middle School. During his retirement he spent much of his time volunteering at My Brothers Table. He enjoyed traveling the world with his family, particularly to Key Colony Beach, FL and fishing with his son and grandchildren.

Tony was the beloved husband of Joyce E. LaRosa . He was the loving father of Joseph Anthony LaRosa and his wife Pamela of North Reading, and Jody Donnelly and her husband James of Boxford. He was the brother of Olympia Addonizio and her late husband Nicholas of Dennis, MA, Carmella Sclafani and her late husband Charles of Fl., and the late Rose Sanderson of TX. He is also survived by his two grandchildren: Matthew Joseph LaRosa of Medford, and Ryan Michael LaRosa of North Reading.

A Funeral Mass will be held in Our Lady of Assumption Church, corner of Grove and Salem Sts. On Saturday, May 11 at 10am. Arrangements were in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield.
