Obituary
Moulaison, Geraldine B. (Buckley), of
Marblehead, formerly of Melrose, passed away
peacefully May 20, 2016 at the age of 88. Beloved wife
of the late George E. Moulaison. Devoted mother of
Noel M. Henrich & her husband Donald of
Marblehead, Keith G. Moulaison & his wife Tracey
of Newton, NH, and Jay R. Moulaison of Newburyport.
Proud grandmother of Christiane Henrich, Ryan Henrich,
Alexander Henrich, Amanda Moulaison, and Lauren
Moulaison. Caring sister of Hartwell Raymond Buckley
of FL. Loving cousin of Maureen Joyce as well as
several other loving cousins, nieces, nephews, &
friends. Geraldine grew up in Wakefield graduating
from Wakefield High School.
She received her bachelor's degree and
master's degree from Salem State College and Boston
University. She taught for decades at Melrose High
School and Endicott College. While at B.U. Geraldine
met George Moulaison, whom she would later marry and
to whom she would remain married for over 50 loving
years until his passing. Geraldine was active in
Melrose for many years in the Catholic Women's Club,
The Mother's Club, and the Camp Fire Girls. In her
later years she moved with her daughter and family to
France and Japan and settled in Marblehead MA.
She was involved in the Marblehead
Senior Center, enjoyed book clubs, and played mahjong.
Education and keeping her brain active were extremely
important to her. She was a fierce advocate for
education. She was an active member of the Parish
Council at Our Lady Star of the Sea for many years.
Geraldine was happiest when surrounded by her family.
She will be remembered as an extremely intelligent,
loving, strong, and graceful woman. Although she aged
she never grew old, continuing to embrace all the
changes in the world around her.
Visiting Hours will be held on
Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 9 AM to 10:15 AM at
Solimine Funeral Home, 67 Ocean St., Lynn, MA 01902. A
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM at Our
Lady Star of the Sea Church, 80 Atlantic Ave.,
Marblehead, MA 01945. Relatives & friends are
respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be
private. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made
to the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Fund at
