Obituary
Dateline-Fremont, NH After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Deborah Ann Cooke, 62, passed away August 7, 2021 at her home in Fremont, NH surrounded by her loving family and her beloved dog, Dexter. She was born November 18, 1958 in Chelsea, MA, daughter of Paul Sayers and Agatha (Chavez) Baker.
Debbie grew up in Melrose, MA and was a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1976. On February 21, 1978, she married the love of her life, Michael Cooke. Since Mike was serving in the US Marine Corps at the time, they resided for 3 years in Cherry Point, NC. Debbie was an amazingly supportive Marine Corps wife. Once Mike was discharged, they moved back to Melrose, MA for several years. They would often take camping trips to Pine Acres Campground in Raymond, NH and fell in love with a little neighboring town called Fremont, NH. They moved to Fremont, NH to raise their young family and have resided there ever since. She was a devoted homemaker to her husband and three children. Debbie had many interests and hobbies which included shopping for bargains and selling those items on eBay, collecting designer purses and guitars. She loved music including her favorite band Metallica, as well as going to concerts and musicals. She was also a proud fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Cooke, son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Felicia Cooke and their two children, Quinlan Cooke and Logan Cooke, daughter and son-in-law, Noel and Michael Ahearn, daughter, Summer Cooke, her mother, Agatha Baker, her father, Paul Sayers, sister, Eileen McGondel, sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Mitchell Gardner, brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Mary Horgan, and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held for the family.
