Obituary

Allison Leslie Maskell Hawkes went to be with her Lord on September 17, 2017.  She was born October 14, 1958 in Melrose, MA, where she grew up in a loving household.

Allison’s earthly calling was first and foremost as a loving wife to her husband of 33 years, Jim Hawkes; and loving mother to her three sons Devon, DJ, and Clark. She was so proud of that calling, and encouraged many younger women of its honor and dignity. Allison was a devoted Christian, having committed her life to Christ at a young age.  Allison’s quiet faith and love was shown in selfless service to her family and friends, but most especially in her beautiful smile that lit up every room she entered.  What Allison would most want for her relatives, church family, and friends, even as they grieve her passing, is to rejoice for her as she is with her Lord and Savior, in the home He prepared for her from before time began, with her smile more beautiful than ever.

Allison is survived by her husband and three sons; mother Barbara; sister Susan; and many other relatives. Allison was predeceased by her sister Meredith and her father Harry.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 23, at Ponte Vedra Presbyterian Church, 4510 Palm Valley Road, Ponte Vedra, FL.  Her family invites all to celebrate Allison’s life and ministry at a visitation that will be held at the church from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 22.
