Obituary

Irene L. Piques, 42, died at home Saturday afternoon after a lengthy illness. Born in Cambridge, she was raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High Class of 1976. Irene spent several years living in Stowe VT., and returned to Melrose where she resided until her death.

She was an Administrator at TASC-Litton in Reading for three years. Irene loved cooking, skiing, golfing and scuba diving. She was the daughter of Antanina ( Jankauskas ) and Louis S. Piques of Melrose. Granddaughter of Manuel Piques of Melrose. Sister of Paul L. Piques & his wife Kathryn of Atlanta GA, Anita D. Sacco & her husband Arnold of Stoneham and Diana L. Foley & her husband Thomas of Melrose. Dear friend of Richard Hendricks. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W Foster St Melrose on Tues Nov 20 at a time to be announced. Funeral Mass in St Mary's Church, corner of Herbert & Myrtle St, Melrose. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Monday 4 - 8 PM. Burial will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
